Far and Away 03:55
Surfing on the red eye ride I have felt the pages of my mind Fading out and coming in Filing through the questions left behind Should I decide that there once was a time When I was right and God was wrong Far and away When she moves in closer Makes me throw my senses Away Searching for direction At a higher elevation Almost flying Feelin' free And I found my way Changing focus on the lens I see forests lost within the trees Contrast dull and colors bright Feeling what perspective does to me I would concede that I get too caught up In fantasies and wishing wells Far and away When she moves in closer Makes me throw my senses Away Searching for direction At a higher elevation Almost flying Feelin' free And I found my way Far and away When she moves in closer Makes me throw my senses Away Searching for direction At a higher elevation Away When she moves in closer Makes me throw my senses Away Searching for direction At a higher elevation Almost flying Feelin' free And I found my way

Turn your back on your friends Turn your back on your faith When you need to let go You think it's easy to wait? Don't go wasting my time It's not that easy to find At the end of the day It's the end of the world When all the shadows fall Still can't explain it away It wouldn't do any good It wouldn't help if I could Don't tell me why anymore It doesn't help me in the end Don't tell me why anymore It doesn't matter this time I've heard it before Find another excuse But it still won't explain You look it up and down Till there's nothing left to gain What do you get for your time? Another place in the line Don't tell me why anymore It doesn't help me in the end Don't tell me why anymore It doesn't matter this time I've heard it before That's enough for now Won't make sense anyway Will I run out of time? Enough light in the day? Can't it happen somehow Or is this all they'll allow? Don't tell me why anymore It doesn't help me in the end Don't tell me why anymore It doesn't matter this time I've heard it before

Flying down the road again No chance to wonder why Keeping the balance straight And reaching out for the sky Five minutes late and I missed the day Higher anxiety, waiting my turn And still turned away That's why we sing, sing for the day When it all comes together Yeah we sing, sing for the way When it all comes together Here in the end What do you want from me Why can't I give to you I sometimes feel lost Between a laugh or two Five minutes more and what have I done Second guess everything, where do I turn When turning to run That's why we sing, sing for the day When it all comes together Yeah we sing, sing for the way When it all comes together And we sing, sing for the day When it all comes together Yeah we sing, sing while we play And it all comes together Here in the end One little world We cannot escape One little choice We never can make One larger goal That we rarely see Replacing what is With what is to be Getting my grip again Letting the demons go Some things I'll understand Most I will never know Five minutes pass, but it feels like a year Hoping to get it right, it's so hard to take When coming so near That's why we sing, sing for the day When it all comes together Yeah we sing, sing for the way When it all comes together And we sing, sing for the day When it all comes together Yeah we sing, sing while we play And it all comes together Well we sing for the day When it all comes together Oh we sing, sing for the way When it all comes together And we sing And it all comes together Oh we sing, sing while we play And it all comes together Here in the end

Down the streets and corridors Shards of glass pierce broken dreams Where postcards shadow dead-end roads Things not quite as they seem Escape comes at nightfall Waiting for daybreak to come It's always been the same old place Always still and no one knew The wall we scaled were granite gray Or were they baby blue? Escape comes at nightfall Waiting for daybreak to come Did Spring come too early A moment too soon? Did you cover your eyes? Did you howl at the moon? Was it dark before dawn When you sang out your tune? Did you set sail too late Or a moment too soon? Grant us now another chance Another time around I think that it will work out right One more glimpse at the fading night The gateway swings wide And daybreak is here Did Spring come too early A moment too soon? Did you cover your eyes? Did you howl at the moon? Was it dark before dawn When you sang out your tune? Did you set sail too late Or a moment...a moment... Poets hoist your pens Soldiers raise your flags We're running for the sun at noon It's not a moment It's not one moment too soon It's not one moment too soon

A damp fog lifting just above the ground Memories encased in photo flashes Daydreams pass in dots and dashes A lone figure emerges Solitary A past viewed at the edge Searching out all I can find From the outpost of my mind There I see things no other way And hear the things no words can say Is that even the right feeling? Is that what has me believing? Do you think you can find me When I'm out here on my own? Just another endless chase In my favorite race You're searching everywhere When I'm waiting right here for you A lonesome, weary traveler moves along Packs up his bags and bits and pieces Folds and tucks and neatly creases Doesn't really want to go Stepping bravely Where angels fear to tread Thoughts of you get left behind At the outpost of my mind There I saw things no other way And heard the things no words can say Is that even the right feeling? Is that what has me believing? Do you think you can find me When I'm out here on my own? Just another endless chase In my favorite race You're searching everywhere When I'm waiting right here for you Do you think you can find me When I'm out here on my own? Just another endless chase In my favorite race You're searching everywhere When I'm waiting right here for you Right here for you

Anyway 06:35
Things were so simple back then Our world so small We had so much to say But we had to stay And wait for another day What was I aiming for I lost the path My sense of direction gone Trading my life for a song When I knew all along No matter what I pretend there are limits to the sky No matter what I pretend You'll say goodbye It's not the way I wanted It's not the way I planned It's not the perfect story With the fairy tale end But it happened anyway And that's alright Yeah that's alright with me We had it all worked out Right from the start For as far as we could see The best that we could be Yeah you trusted me Oh next time will be better What can I do? I must have another chance To take you by the hands And ask for another dance No matter what I pretend There are limits to the eyes No matter what I pretend You'll say goodbye It's not the way I wanted It's not the way I planned It's not the perfect story With the fairy tale end But it happened anyway And that's alright Yeah that's alright with me No matter what I pretend there are limits to the sky No matter what I pretend You'll say goodbye No matter what I pretend There are limits to the eyes No matter what I pretend You said goodbye And that's alright Yeah, that's alright Yeah, that's alright It's not the way I wanted It's not the way I planned It's not the perfect story With the fairy tale end But it happened anyway And that's alright Yeah that's alright It's alright with me It's alright It's alright, It's alright, It's alright

Certainly 05:43
Up, down Hit the ground Dust off my back Take a look around Trap door Back for more Had no idea What you had in store In, out Roundabout Head still spinning In a cloud of doubt Wrong, right Every night A search for clues Under pale moonlight If I only saw it coming If only I had known You caught me by surprise again And left me far from home I certainly wish I was out there I certainly wish that I could play this game I certainly wish I knew where to go from here But only one thing is certain You certainly never know You, me Could it be? You never know your heart Till you set it free Low, high You take a ride All you need to know You can find inside If I only saw it coming If only I had known You caught me by surprise again And left me far from home I certainly wish I was out there I certainly wish that I could play this game I certainly wish I knew where to go from here But only one thing is certain You certainly never know If you never see it coming If you never really knew I'll catch you by surprise this time I'll be waiting for you I certainly wish I was out there I certainly wish that I could play this game I certainly wish I knew where to go from here But only one thing is certain You certainly never know You certainly never know No, you certainly never know You never know

Nothing More 05:56
Feels like riding on a whirlwind There is no escaping this tailspin The answers lost in this state of mind Buried beneath this debris That lies under this falling destiny Hiding all there is to see Listening... Waiting... Wondering... Holding on, holding on Is this all that I am Day to night and back again? Is there nothing more? When our hearts have failed What can we restore? What are we searching for? Trying to keep in control These daily battles are taking their toll It's time to turn words to action Like a raw and untamed reaction What makes this the big attraction? It's just another distraction Living... Watching... Learning... Holding on, holding on Is this all that I am Day to night and back again? Is there nothing more? When our hearts have failed What can we restore? What are we searching for? If left to me I'd sieze the day Turn the tide Not fade away Fight'em back on every side Take the lead And have my say Is this all that I am Day to night and back again? Is there nothing more? When our hearts have failed What can we restore? What are we searching for? Is this all that I am Day to night and back again? Is there nothing more? When our hearts have failed What can we restore? What are we searching for?

The little secrets tucked away A shadowed sunbeam on the rise Doesn't matter anymore The truth hurts more than the lies The gentle thoughts were led astray The good intentions compromised Doesn't matter anymore The truth hurts more than the lies Did you mean to make me smile Did I mean to make you sigh Did we mean to wash it all away When we let it fade and die All the time that we had All the good that went so bad Guess I have to get used to it All the times that we tried All the thoughts we had to hide Now I have to get used to it Only wish it mattered now Only wish it mattered now And at the last one thing remains The simple wish to say goodbyes Doesn't matter anymore The truth hurts more than the lies Did you mean to make me smile Did I mean to make you sigh Did we mean to wash it all away When we let it fade and die All the time that we had All the good that went so bad Guess I have to get used to it All the times that we tried All the thoughts we had to hide Now I have to get used to it Only wish it mattered now Only wish it mattered now Was it something I didn't say I tried to finish what hadn't begun I try to forget it, to leave it and run The sins of omission for the things I haven't done And the person I have not become All the time that we had All the good that went so bad Guess I have to get used to it All the times that we tried All the thoughts we had to hide Now I have to get used to it Only wish it mattered now Only wish it mattered now All the time that we had All the good that went so bad Guess I have to get used to it All the times that we tried All the thoughts we had to hide Now I have to get used to it Only wish it mattered now Only wish it mattered now

I think I read it somewhere Right behind my eyes Cut to size, last goodbyes Nothing lasts forever Not the good, not the bad Not what you'll get Not what you've had Nothing left here, so it seems Bled the fire, stole the dreams Time to give it one last look As found within these holy books Always content at eventide But never satisfied A lifetime full of questions Searching for the clues When we choose, light the fuse Never found the answers Not the right, not the wrong Not the fortunes But just a song Nothing left here, so it seems Bled the fire, stole the dreams Time to give it one last look As found within these holy books Always content at eventide But never satisfied The book is written page by page The dreams of youth are regrets of age A voice of one, crying out Too many turns And too much to learn Too much to learn Nothing left here, so it seems Bled the fire, stole the dreams Time to give it one last look As found within these holy books Nothing left here, so it seems Bled the fire, stole the dreams Time to give it one last look As found within these holy books Always content at eventide But never satisfied

about

The second and final full-length album from the 90's melodic prog band, Jester's Crown. Its darker and more varied sound compared to their first album, Above the Storm, comes from more songwriting collaboration and different touring venues the band had been doing at the time, such as in-record store acoustic shows.
